Wayward Woman Giving Fund is a vibrant collective giving fund that encourages Australian women to be micro-philanthropists.

We are a community of individuals who are motivated by compassion and the desire to see positive change in our community.

We come together in the spirit of collaboration by pooling smaller amounts of funds together to create one large sum.

Our focus is on supporting Australian Community Arts and Cultural Development projects and programs that have the goal of creating social change through art and culture.

Engaging with the arts can be used as a vehicle to explore and communicate social concerns, give voice to hidden issues and allow self-expression, and can have powerful impacts on health, wellbeing and the strengthening of communities.

We welcome Individuals from all backgrounds as Supporters

Silent Auction 2025

2025 is shaping up to be a great year for the Wayward Woman Giving Fund.

On the 9th of February, 2025 we held our second fundraising event - a Silent Auction, with over 30 unique pieces of visual art and fashion that were kindly donated by some very talented and generous Australian creatives.

The Silent Auction raised $3000, which will go towards our collective giving fund, and will be allocated in 2025 to projects and programs that align with our goals.

Community Arts and Cultural Development

Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) involves artists working collaboratively with communities for the purpose of social change through art and culture.

CACD provides opportunities for all people to express themselves and share their stories while developing their cultural knowledge and artistic skills.

As a practice, CACD has demonstrated its ability to have positive impact on the health and wellbeing of communities and stimulate artistic innovation and vibrancy.

Engaging with the arts can be used as a vehicle to explore and communicate social concerns, give voice to hidden issues and allow self-expression, and can have powerful impacts on health, wellbeing and the strengthening of communities.

Women’s Giving and Philanthropy

According to an article by Philanthropy Australia, Women’s philanthropy has emerged in recent decades as a distinct area using innovative and creative ideas to improve local, national and global communities.

Women are going to shape the future of philanthropy, and we need to step up and seize that opportunity and responsibility.

In an Australian research study conducted on women’s giving, women indicated that they observed their grandmother’s and mother’s involvement in the community and the compassion that they showed others to solve problems.

They carry on the tradition of giving back in a quiet and humble way, but are setting an example for their families and friends.

By being the major influencer of where their giving of time and donations are directed, they are showing that giving back is and should be a priority

1000 x 1000 Fundraising

As the founder of WWGF My aim for 2025 and beyond is to create a sustainable 10-year plan that sees Wayward Woman Giving Fund raise one million dollars, with the aim of granting $100,000 a year for the next 10 years to Australian projects and programs that align with our goals of supporting the area of Community Arts and Cultural Development.

Because I believe in the power of micro-philanthropy and the power of cumulative giving, if 1000 individuals or organisations were to donate $1000 each, then we would easily reach our goal of raising one million dollars...

The arts industry in Australia is grossly underfunded, but the area of Community Arts and Cultural Development, even more so.

With the help of those who are able, we can make a real impact by donating these funds where they are most needed, while ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the community have the opportunity to engage with the arts.
